Andrea Suiter

Andrea Suiter is an Arizona native.  She was born in Phoenix and grew up in Flagstaff.  After graduating from Flagstaff High School she attended Northern Arizona University and graduated with a BS in Arts Management with a graphic design emphasis.   
After graduating she moved back to the Phoenix area and worked as the bookstore manager for The Heard Museum.  During that time she felt led to go back to school and obtain her teaching certificate.

Andrea completed the Post-Baccalaureate program through Arizona State University in 1993.  Andrea then entered the Master’s program at Northern Arizona University and obtained her degree in Elementary Education in 1999.  Other endorsements include an Early Childhood endorsement and an ACSI Educators certificate.

Andrea attended one of the first organizational meetings for the start of Joy Christian School and felt that she would eventually be teaching there.  In 1998 she took a position at the Preschool as a lead teacher.  The following year she made the move to the Elementary school and began teaching Kindergarten.  In 2004 she looped with her Kindergarten class and became their First Grade teacher.  Andrea continued to enjoy teaching First Grade and was Team Leader for the Kindergarten through Second Grade team through May of 2007.   In July 2007 she accepted a position as Principal for the Early Childhood Center. 

Andrea currently resides in Peoria with her 16 year old daughter who attends Joy Christian High School, and her 13 year old son, a middle school student at Joy.
