Aillen Carmack “Ms. Ali” Growing up the middle child of 5 certainly prepared Ali for the very busy environment of the preschool classroom. She was born in the Bronx of New York City to immigrants from Argentina and Spain. Ali’s parents came to this country with a love for Christ and dedication to Him and because of that they gave her the environment and educational opportunities she would need to follow God’s calling for her. Ali’s family moved to Phoenix when she was a young child and although it was difficult for them, they enrolled Ali and her siblings in a private Christian School. Heart to Heart Christian Academy was the corner stone of her Christ centered education. She graduated from the Academy with a personal relationship with Christ, many valuable life skills, and a young man that has been her husband now of 16 years, John. They have two beautiful girls, both of whom have attended Joy Christian Preschool. Their youngest daughter is in 5th grade and currently attends Joy Christian School. In 1997, through a conversation with her aunt about finding a Christian preschool for her daughter, she stumbled upon an advertisement in the newspaper for Community Church of Joy. “It was a direct answer to prayer.” – no where else could she find a church fulfilling every family need. “From the cradle to the grave” - an environment in which the whole family could grow. Ali enrolled their oldest daughter in the 3 year old Co-op program and quickly found that God’s plan was for her to join their daughter at Joy. In August 1998, Ali was offered an assistant position teaching the 2 year old Co-op program. This position included teaching her youngest daughter. As her daughter moved up in age she also moved up. This gave her the opportunity to be mentored and to experience teaching every age group in the preschool. In 2003, Ali graduated with her Child Development Associate degree from Bay Mills College. Since then she has been SUCCEEDS registered and certified in many early childhood educational trainings. Ali obtained her Director’s credentials in December 2007, and most recently began CORE Knowledge training for preschool. Ms. Ali’s responsibilities and duties at Joy Christian Preschool are:
