Jean Blosser Mrs. Blosser has lived in the Valley since she was 5 years old. She grew up on the edge of town on 35th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. Her parents and her sister live in the Northwest Valley. She and her husband were married in the Virgin Islands and have two college age children who both also live in the Northwest Valley. Prior to having children she worked at Honeywell (Sperry) in the Logistics Department coordinating computer programs between Engineering, Marketing and the Design department. As a stay at home mom of two, Mrs. Blosser decided to return to work when her children reached school age. In 1990 she was rehired at Honeywell and hired at Joy on the same day. She made the decision to accept the job offer at Joy, teaching Co-Op, so that her hours would mirror those of her children in grade school. Mrs. Blosser was a member of the original teaching teams that created Joy Preschool at our previous location on 59th Avenue and she still enjoys the children. After choosing to teach preschool, Mrs. Blosser returned to school and received her Child Development Associate Degree. In 1992, she was a member of The Learning Disabilities Association for about 5 years. As a member, she attended many classes and conferences sponsored by them. She recently began CORE knowledge for preschool. At the preschool, Mrs. Blosser has taught half-day programs and the full-day program, ages 3 through 5. For the past 8 years, she has taught the Pre-K age group in the full-day program. Mrs. Blosser is currently teaching the Co-op Preschool, 4 mornings/afternoons a week program.
