Lori Rodriguez
Lead Teacher – Three Year Olds, Co-op Program
lrodriguez@joyschool.org

Lori was born in Wisconsin, and moved to Phoenix when she was twelve years old.  Blessed by being raised in a Christian family, she grew up with Christ as the center of her life.  With many younger children in her extended family, and several family members who were foster parents, she knew from the time she was a child that caring for children was her passion.

In 1996 the Rodriguez family became members of Community Church of Joy.  Lori attends a Bible study and prayer group for moms where she has made life-long friends as they grow together in their faith.

Lori and her husband, David, have been happily married for 25 years.  Together they have a 24-year-old son, and a 23-year-old daughter.  Each of their children has a daughter of their own and these are the greatest joy of their family.  Lori and her husband were foster parents to a now-16-year-old girl who was adopted by another family, but she still spends time with and is a part of the Rodriguez family.

Lori attended Phoenix Christian Grade School, and graduated from Apollo High School.  She received her CDA from Glendale Community College, and continues her education by attending workshops and conferences.

In the past 17 years, Lori has taught at two other Christian preschools.  In 2001 she joined the team at Joy Christian Preschool.  Her first 3 years were spent in a 4s turning 5s class, and during the past 3 years she has taught 3s turning 4s classes.  Lori feels very blessed to have a career that she loves so much.

Lori teaches three 3’s turning 4’s classes – two mornings a week, three mornings a week, and three afternoons a week.  Last August she completed part of the CORE Knowledge training for preschool.
