Terry Erickson Terry Erickson was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, but spent most of her youth growing up in the central valley of California. After marrying her husband, Dave, she spent three years living in Utah where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with an option in Speech Communication. During this time she gave birth to her first daughter, and two years later, moved with her family to Houston, Texas. During the following two years she was blessed with a son and another daughter. While raising these three young ones, Terry realized how much she loved to nurture, teach, and care for little children and she began working in Christian preschools that her children attended. She also became involved in church choirs, Sunday school, and Vacation Bible schools at her churches in Utah and Texas. In 1999, Terry moved with her family to Peoria, Arizona. While her children attended high school and began attending college, she worked as the Children’s Events Specialist at Zany Brainy, an educational toy store that was new to the area. When Zany Brainy closed, she decided to return to the classroom and God led her to Joy Preschool in January 2004. Terry taught a four-day morning and a four-day afternoon class in the Co-op wing of Joy Christian Preschool, and is currently taking Nursing classes. She began working as a Receptionist at the Preschool in November 2007. All three of her children are now married and her first two grandsons were born in April, 2006. With great excitement and anticipation, she and her husband of 27 years are expecting another grandson in June 2007. It seems as though wherever she goes, Terry is surrounded by precious, little gifts from God. What a blessing!
