High School Athletics ProgramAthletic Department Philosophy
We believe that high school athletics is one of the most significant tools in the educational process of character development, and helps to encourage students to lead by example. Athletics provide an opportunity to honor our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ through excellence, maximum effort, self-discipline, commitment, dependability, sacrificial teamwork, outstanding sportsmanship, respect for others, and humility in victory or defeat. Arizona Interscholastic Association (A.I.A.) Joy Christian High School is a full member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association (A.I.A.). The A.I.A. is a voluntary association of public and private high schools which was established by and is responsible to its members. The democratic governance of the A.I.A. provides representation and input opportunities to all its member schools through their governing board members, administrators and teachers who serve on the Legislative Council, Executive Board and ad hoc committees. For more information on the A.I.A. please visit their website at: www.aiaonline.org. Current High School Athletic Programs:

"Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and the Master you are serving is Christ." Colossians 3:23-24 (NLT) |

Athletics at Joy Christian School is an integral part of the school’s
total educational program. We believe that providing excellence
in Christ-centered education, in partnership with the home, requires
a “balanced commitment to developing the whole child” in mind,
soul and body.
