Math
Algebra I (Grade 9)
This course will cover the Algebra I topics found in the National
Mathematic Standards. Topics such as functions, inequalities, equations,
systems of equations, exponents, factoring, probability, radicals, and
rational expressions will be covered. The course will use technology,
assessment, intervention, and differentiated instruction to ensure understanding.
A primary goal will be student success on standardized test and college
entrance exams.
Geometry (Grade 10)
This course will cover the Geometry topics found in the National
Mathematic Standards. Topics such as geometric terminology and reasoning,
parallel and perpendicular lines, triangles, polygons, similarity, trigonometry,
area, volume, circles, and transformations will be covered. The course
will use technology, assessment, intervention, and differentiated instruction
to ensure understanding. A primary goal will be student success on standardized
test and college entrance exams.
Algebra II (Grade 11)
This course will cover the Algebra II topics found in the National
Mathematic Standards. Topics such as linear functions, linear systems,
matrices, quadratic functions, polynomial functions, exponential and
logarithmic functions, rational and radical functions, conic sections,
probability and statistics, sequences and series, and trigonometric function
will be covered. The course will use technology, assessment, intervention,
and differentiated instruction to ensure understanding. A primary goal
will be student success on standardized test and college entrance exams.
Pre-Calculus: A Graphing Approach (Grade 12)
This course is a comprehensive program designed to provide the
mathematical and technological background high school students need for
calculus. The course will integrate graphing technology without losing
the importance of the underlying mathematics. Careful explanation, numerous
examples, an abundance of practice exercises, and an ongoing focus on
real-world applications strengthen students’ conceptual understanding.
Other Math Courses
Math courses such as Pre-Algebra, AP-Calculus, and Statistics
will be available to students through online courses or dual credit programs.
