The JCS Advantage Program
The Joy Christian School Advantage Program offers a wide variety of both academic and recreational programs and events which are conveniently located on-campus.
The Joy Christian School Advantage Program was designed and developed to
- Encourage participants to be individuals
- Encourage students to have pride in their performance and work
- Strengthen academic and social skills
- Develop, enhance, and maintain positive self-esteem
- Promote children’s individual and collective interests
- Foster cooperation as a community on campus
- Offer high quality and affordable opportunities for students and their families
The JCS Program includes:
- Kids Connection: A state licensed before and after school program that operates throughout the school year.
- All day camps on non federal – non school days
- Friday Night Fun Night
- Workshops and Enrichment Programs
- A complete educational and recreational summer program

Kids Connection Program
JCS Kids Connection is a state licensed before and after school child care program located on the Joy Christian School campus and is an extension of the JCS Advantage Program
The Kids Connection Program is proud to provide a fun, inviting, safe, on-site environment for students before & after their regularly scheduled school day.
JCS Kids Connection enriches the students’ day through a variety of both inside and outside activities, including crafts, games, and organized play.
Any child on campus 15 minutes after the dismissal of school will be considered a drop-in for Kids Connection and will be walked over to room 1402. The hourly rate will be applied to that student’s activity charge account.
All of Kids Connection programs follow the regular Joy Christian School calendar, which includes early release days and holidays.
Enrollment Procedures:
Kids Connection is a drop-in program
available to all of our Joy Christian families. Required by law, a Blue
Emergency card and immunization form need to be complete, current, and
on file for a student to be able to use Kids Connection service.
Fees:
Kid’s Connection is an hourly rate of $3.50 an hour.
All students on campus 15 min after the dismissal of school or before
8:15am will be considered under the care of Kids Connection. The hourly
charge starts 15 min after the dismissal of school.
Snack:
Kids Connection offers snack in the afternoon and breakfast during morning
program. Snack and breakfast menus are posted in the Command Post (1402)
and in 1601. The Snack and Breakfast items we offer in Kids Connection
meets the requirement of the State of Arizona guide lines.
Signing In and Out & Fees
Children must be properly signed into the before school
program and out of the after school program by a parent, guardian or
emergency contact. Any child attending but not signed out of Kids Connection
properly after school will be signed out by a staff member at 6:00pm.
Any child attending the AM program not properly signed in will be signed
in by a staff member at 6:30 am. Charges to your account will reflect
these times.
Day’s End
The Kids Connection program ends promptly at 6:00pm daily. A late fee
of $1.00 per minute will be charged starting at 6:00pm.
Early Release Days
Kids Connection will be open and available for early release
days. See Joy Christian School Calendar for specific dates and activities.
For additional charge Pizza Lunch is provided. Pizza Lunch includes:
Pizza, milk, chips and a fruit cup. To receive a Pizza Lunch registration
is required in advance.
Time: 11:45am-6:00pm Cost:
$3.50 an hour for after school care
$5.00 for pizza lunch
Payment:
Kids Connection charges are applied to the student’s
Activity Account. Other JCS Advantage Programs can be paid prior to the
activity or event or it can be charged to the student’s activity account.
Any payment concerns or questions can be directed to the Joy Business
Office located in Building 3.

observed.

JCS Advantage Events
Non-school & In-service Days
We will offer a variety of activities for in-service and other non-school days.
These activities may include field trips, workshops, sports clinics, bringing
outside entertainment on campus, and much more.
Time: 6:30am-6:00pm
Cost: $35.00 per child per day
We also provide a lunch for non-school days for those who
do not want to pack a lunch. Lunch menu varies. Registration in advance
is required.
Cost: $5.00 per child
Additional fees for added activities may vary. Activity information is sent home through the Joy Christian School Newsletter and will be posted on our website as well as noted in program guides.
School Vacation Weeks
To best serve our families, Thanksgiving
week, January break, and spring break programs are available. Please
review the Kids Connection calendar for exact dates.
Friday Night Fun Night
One Friday a month, JCS Advantage is open from 6:00pm-10: 30pm. Each month has a theme. Children participate in high energy games and activities relating to the theme. Children also have dinner & dessert. After the fun and food we wind down the evening with a movie.
Cost is $20.00 first child and $15.00 per sibling
Cost includes a dinner, refreshments and dessert. Space is limited.

JCS Advantage Program Guide
Each session brings a new set of Enrichment Programs and special events. JCS Advantage Guides are available for the following sessions: Fall, Winter and Spring. Enrichment Programs are educational and recreational programs available directly after school. There are new programs each session. In addition to the Enrichment Programs The JCS advantage Program Guide also lists any non-school day activities, early release days workshops and or special events. Program Guides are sent home through Renweb, available after school in the Kids Connection Command Post, can be viewed and printed on the JCS Advantage web-site, and can be picked up at the JCS school office. In addition to enrichment Programs the JCS Advantage Program offers Friday Night Fun Night.
